“I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll be fine on my own.” She snaps her fingers for the cat again.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“Just gotta get you home, and we\u2019ll be fine.” When she leans in he cranes his neck, taking another half step back.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once she turns he follows, making a bee line for the door before unlocking the bolt and stepping aside. \u201cAfter you.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Summer opens her mouth to argue, and Helios steps firmly on her foot. She looks down and scoops the fluffy cat up, who puts his paws around her neck and begins to purr.
