Men in female-dominated fields <em>aren\u2019t<\/em> marginalized at all; they get special treatment and are fast-tracked to the top, getting more credit for their work, faster promotions, and greater pay and benefits than their female colleagues.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dspace.brunel.ac.uk\/bitstream\/2438\/3799\/1\/Work%20Employment%20and%20Society.pdf\">Here\u2019s one study.<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books\/about\/Still_a_Man_s_World.html?id=3cXIvGbwWx0C\">Here\u2019s another.<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucpress.edu\/book.php?isbn=9780520201088\">And another.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That\u2019s pretty much what I expected (though sad).
