“After that, it felt like I was seeing you everywhere. The grocery store, the park, the mall, the vet\u2019s \u2026 you, um, had a boyfriend then, I think. Tall, dark-haired? I asked the vet about you.” Awkwardly, she clasped and unclasped her hands in her lap. “I know it seems a little stalkerish \u2026 “<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“Oh fun, I\u2019ve been down there once or twice with my dad on business,” Allison nodded twirling the wand in and out of her hair. \u00a0“Yes, I believe it was the championship.” \u00a0She set it down for a moment and put some hairspray on the roots to make sure they didn\u2019t unravel.<\/p>\n

“Really? \u00a0I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve actually seen you around before,” she mused. \u00a0She thought that with Summer\u2019s hair colour that she would have noticed before. \u00a0But maybe she missed it. \u00a0“Yeah, if I hadn\u2019t actually had a stalker at one point, I would say so too.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Summer mused, “Until you’re actually looking for someone, you don’t usually see them. The world is funny that way.” She blinked a little at Allison’s comment about already having had a stalker. “It’s also odd how much information you can end up picking up about someone without even meaning to.
