She didn’t say anything during the drive over, too busy twisting her hands together and trying her best not to be afraid. She didn’t like pain, and she didn’t know how she was going to respond to anaesthetic, and in general she was pretty scared.<\/p>\n

Turned out there was no need to be; the entire operation went smoothly and simply, with no complications.
