After my twin left, there was no one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Very quietly, she confessed, hiding her face, \u201cI fell into despair.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>His breath hitched and he pulled her against his chest, burying his face in her hair. \u201cI\u2019m so sorry, Summer\u2026I never meant for things to end up like this, but I promise that it\u2019ll all be better soon. We\u2019re to be married, you and I, and I\u2019ll always love you and take care of you,\u201d he breathed out and cupped her chin gently, angling her head up so that he could look her in the eye. \u201cI love you, Summer.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She squeaked slightly, in surprise.
