Madmen engineers (I think there\u2019s a Tony Stark fic about this, come to think of it) build machines to see who can hurl an intact pumpkin the farthest. They\u2019re grouped by how they\u2019re powered, i.e. trebuchet, air cannon, spinning, etc. A pumpkin that explodes before impact with the ground is considered pied.<\/p>\n
