Vex chuckled at the woman\u2019s words, the sound breathy and happy as it left his throat. It was moments like this that he really found peace, which wasn\u2019t nearly as common as it should have been. He bent his head slightly to kiss her on the cheek as he told her, \u201cWell, you can lay \u2018ere as long as you like.\u201d He could still hear the music from the Halloween party downstairs, but he didn\u2019t mind that he was missing it in the slightest.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
