Merlin shoves his spell book under his pillow in a panic and relaxes as he sees Summer in the doorway. He nods and gestures for her to come in.\u00a0Are you alright? You seem a bit\u2026 off.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“I \u2014 I don\u2019t know, actually. I \u2026 I think I need some advice. Or maybe just someone to tell me I\u2019m an idiot.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He smiles softly and, he hopes, encouragingly,\u00a0Well, I\u2019ll see what I can do.\u00a0<\/em>He tucks his legs up so to sit cross-legged on his bed and leave some room for Summer to sit down.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She plops down on the end of the bed and puts her face in her hands. \u201cRemember a while ago \u2026 I \u2014 you were telling me someone would come along who would see me and \u2026\u201d She trails off.<\/p>\n

“Do you know a knight named Mordred?”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He raises an eyebrow, unsure of what she\u2019s getting at based on the small bit she says.\u00a0The Mordred I know is a young boy still, but I know that he\u2019s a knight in some other worlds. Why, did something happen with him?\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She blinks at him, puzzled. “Other w — ?” Then she shakes her head, dismissing it. Looking down at her hands, she swallows hard, and says, “I’m — I think I’m in love with him.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
