3. Me for one night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vex gave a sloppy, half-smirk in Summer\u2019s direction as he told her, \u201cWell, you \u2018eard it, you got me for the rest of the night. So tell me\u2026\u201d His eyes glinted darkly as he finished his sentence, \u201cWhat\u2019d\u2019ya want, lovely?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“The universe wants us together. This is insane.” Summer started to laugh. “I should ask you to seduce me, but I don\u2019t think you\u2019re actually capable of that.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“T\u2019right,” Vex chuckled at Summer\u2019s comment. He\u2019d been thinking the same thing, but he hadn\u2019t wanted to comment. Seemed almost too nice\u2026 Shrugging his shoulders, he asked with a purr to his voice, “Is that a challenge?”\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“Would I do that?” she shot back. hands on her hips. She tossed her hair. “Anyway, this is absurd. I assume you enjoyed our tete-a-tete before, or you would have just blown me off entirely here. But you aren\u2019t interested in me as a long term thing.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Vex blinked, a little surprised at the silk dancer\u2019s<\/strike>\u00a0human’s words. He watched her for a moment before he asked in a sharpened, but kind voice, \u201cAnd who said that I wasn\u2019t, Summer? I\u2019ve never once said that.\u201d It was true, he hadn\u2019t. Though he wasn\u2019t really sure why he was saying it..<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She tapped her temple. “I think I would know, Vex.” Summer shrugged, trying to pass it off as no big thing. She wasn’t \/in love\/ with Vex; fascinated by him, yes. By him, by the world he represented; the glimpses into a different sort of life than the one she’d led up til now.<\/p>\n

Which, annoyingly, didn’t change the fact that she wanted to be seen as someone desirable. More than just … a fuckbuddy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
