Snickering slightly, he purred the words, \u201cNever woulda expected to \u2018ear that from a pretty thing like you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div>Summer sat straight up, locking her eyes on his. \u201cNo. No. That\u2019s not okay.\u201d She grabbed at his chin, firmly. \u201cI\u2019m not doing this with you if I have to force you to respect my few lines. I said I trusted you.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Vex\u2019s eyes softened abruptly as Summer gripped his chin, her words registering to his mind almost instantly. Giving her a small smile, rather than smirking at her, he put one hand around her wrist to make her let go of his chin as he leaned forward and told her, \u201cI\u2019m jus\u2019 actin\u2019, Lovely. You\u2019re safe \u2018ere, I <em>assure<\/em> you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sensing his honesty, she relaxed, letting go of him and closing her eyes. She took a deep breath, letting him have her wrist, letting that hold re-establish the mood.
