“I would if I\u2019d seen you any time in the last month. As it is, I\u2019ve gotta get what I can of your presence before you have to go back to work.” She sighed a little and pressed her face to his chest. \u201cI only mind because I miss you.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“You knew the dangers of dating someone who\u2019s as busy with their work as I am. There are going to be times where you won\u2019t see me for days at a time.” Even though he knew it was true, Robert couldn\u2019t hide the feeling he had inside. “I want to see you every minute I\u2019m away. I just quell the feeling so I can focus on the job at hand.” It felt rude, it sounded rude, but truthfully, it helped him out. Unwanted emotions on set weren\u2019t all that valuable and usually caused more harm than good. \u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m thinking that maybe I should just take you with me when I leave. I did it before with my ex-wife, and I still do it with Indio.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Summer’s eyes went huge. “You … do? You do.” She squeezed him, smiling shakily and blushing hard. “Oh, Robert. I wish you could. I have a job, though. I have to be in New York sometimes. I can’t always telecommute.” It was upsetting, having to crush his hopes, and her own, but her job was important to her just like his was to him. “And who would take care of my cats?”<\/p>\n
