Tony snorts. \u201cBarely had a childhood is more like it.\u201d He leads the way to the cafe he had mentioned formerly, letting out a laugh at the comment following her first. \u201cIs that what people think? Funny, I almost wish it was true sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cChildhoods are overrated,\u201d she says sagely. \u201cYou\u2019re only as old as you want to be. If it makes you feel better, I didn\u2019t exactly get a childhood either.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cThey typically are but, sometimes I think it might have done me some good to actually have had one. Then again, I honestly wouldn\u2019t be where I am now so\u2026eh,\u201d he muses, making a gesture with one of his hands. \u201cThat is a pretty true statement. And ah, well, you\u2019re not alone in that department. Neither of us are. Plenty of people have their childhood ripped from them for a variety of awful reasons and some pretty stupid ones.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
