Spring sunlight poured into the big windows in the penthouse. She lolled in a chair positioned precisely in the longest splash of light, damp hair draped over the back of the canvas to catch the warmth. She\u2019d been reading, but the hand holding the ereader drooped, and she gazed dozily at the ceiling, smiling faintly.<\/p>\n

Idly she asked, \u201cTony, do I bring light into your life?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cNope, not at all,\u201d Tony answered easily, tone light enough to make it obvious that he was just poking fun.\u00a0 He peered over the edge of his tablet at her, one eyebrow arched.\u00a0 \u201cOf course you do.\u201d\u00a0 He slid down further into a more comfortable slump on the couch.\u00a0 \u201cWhat\u2019s up?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cOh, I was just letting my mind wander. Trying to figure out if there\u2019s some kind of meaning behind Sunshine, why you call me that.\u201d She giggled. \u201c\u2018Of course,\u2019 he says, like it\u2019s obvious.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cA poet I am not, Sunshine,\u201d he replied wryly, and looked back to his tablet.\u00a0 \u201cSome nicknames don\u2019t need decoder rings.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
