\u201cWhy miss Summer-sweetness have you been keeping a secret?\u201d Tony grinned. \u201cIs it something awesome? Are you an assassin that was hired to kill me but now you\u2019re totally in love with me? You don\u2019t even know how long I\u2019ve waited for that to happen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She dissolved into giggles again. \u201cNo, it\u2019s not that kind of secret. I don\u2019t know if you\u2019ll think it\u2019s awesome, either.\u201d She sat up, glancing around. \u201cHave you got a candle?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cWhy the hell would I have a candle?\u201d Tony laughed. \u201cI mean what the hell would I even do with a candle?\u201d He slid Summer off his lap and stood up to walk over to the kitchen. \u201cWhat self respecting dude just has a candle laying around?\u201d He dug into a drawer. \u201cThere\u2019s your damn candle,\u201d he grinned, tossing a small tea light candle to her.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She caught it quickly, and set it on the counter. Both hands went behind her back. \u201cWatch.\u201d<\/p>\n

The candle lit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a new thing,\u201d she noted. \u201cIt\u2019s not my real ability.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Tony grinned as he looked down at the candle. \u201cWell damn Summer.\u201d He looked to her. \u201cI thought you said you weren\u2019t hot.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cOw, pun,\u201d she groaned. \u201cLike I said, that\u2019s not my real ability.\u201d She hesitated for a long moment. \u201cI\u2019m an empath, Tony.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It took Tony a moment to remember exactly what an empath was. \u201cReally? You show me awesome fire power things and empath is your big finish?\u201d He chuckled. \u201cI mean both are awesome but seriously you should close with the fire thing next time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“That’s kind of all I can \/do\/ with the fire thing,” Summer pointed out. “It’s new. Like, really new.
