Summer sneered. \u201cAt least, if you have to drink coffee, let\u2019s go somewhere with \/good\/ coffee. The campus coffee shop is better than that stuff. And I like supporting small business.\u201d She set off along the path, jerking her head for Tony to follow her. \u201cLet\u2019s ask the stupid questions first.\u201d She switched to a singsong kind of voice. \u201cWhere are you from? What are you studying? Do you play any sports?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI like Starbucks.\u201d Tony mumbled. \u201cWhatever lead the way,\u201d he said rolling his eyes. \u201cUh let\u2019s see I\u2019ve lived in New York my entire life, Engineering major, As far as sports go\u2026\u201d he scratched his head. \u201cI play some basketball occasionally. Not really anything else though. Unless you count drinking as a sport.\u201d He laughed. \u201cWhat about you?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI\u2019m from North Carolina.\u201d She\u00a0exaggerated\u00a0her southern accent into a soft drawl. \u201cWe lived in Tennessee when I was small, though. I\u2019m majoring in English with a minor in Philosophy \u2014 kind of by accident.\u201d Shifting her shoulder under the bag, she added, \u201cI do swim, but after one season I decided I\u2019d rather focus on my schoolwork.\u201d Summer eyed Tony up and down. \u201cAre you even old enough to drink?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cAm I old enough to drink? Yes. Am I old enough to drink legally? That\u2019s an entirely different question,\u201d he grinned. \u201cPhilosophy huh?\u201d He scratched his head. \u201cSo you like to think about stuff and things like that?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“I just end up thinking about a lot of things,” she said, self-deprecating. “Honestly, I didn’t mean to, I just picked up some classes that looked interesting to fill out my schedule and then my advisor pointed out that if I took the two basic philo classes I’d have a minor.
