He gave a very genuine smile. \u201cThat\u2019s very comforting, thank you.\u201d Johnny considered what she said earlier. \u201cOkay, yeah I\u2019d say I\u2019m a one track mind kind of guy, but really it\u2019s more a craving for fun than anything else. I don\u2019t care what it is, to an extent, as long as it\u2019s fun.\u201d Really, he hadn\u2019t done much in the way of enjoyment anyways. \u201cYou don\u2019t by any chance know anything fun to do, do you?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI know lots of fun things to do. You looking for something in particular?\u201d Summer\u2019s green eyes warmed. \u201cYou\u2019re always looking for something in particular, though, is what I hear.\u201d She winked. \u201cFlying could be fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cYou know, I may be lecherous and a bit of a playboy, but it\u2019s not the only thing I think about. Food is a close second,\u201d he retorted in mock defensiveness, giving a sassy scoff and laying a hand on his chest as if he were offended. Johnny thought about the suggestion, dropping his hand to his side. \u201cI guess it just depends on where we\u2019re flying. You can fly, right?\u201d he asked, not remembering much about her.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cOh yes. Possibly faster than you. Shall we try it?\u201d Summer balanced a little flame on her fingertip, smiling. \u201cPossibly we can investigate those other things you think about later.\u201d She stepped toward the exit, checking over her shoulder to see if he would follow.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Johnny knew he talked to her for a reason. Without a moment’s hesitation he followed after, pondering her last words. God, that sounded tempting. Good thing Johnny wasn\u2019t a stranger to temptation, let alone someone to fight against it. \u201cNot to brag, but I\u2019m 99.9% sure I\u2019m faster,\u201d he retorted cockily, a challenging grin on his face. \u201cWith those odds, my bet\u2019s not on you proving me wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“You’ve never seen me fly flat out, though,” she pointed out. “I do SAR. There’s little reason for me to go as fast as I can. What’ll you bet, then, Johnny?” They popped out into the cold sunshine, and she tilted her head up to look at the sky.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
