Victor looked at her, not wanting to make light of the situation but slightly quirking an eyebrow. \u201cRemember who you\u2019re talking to love, I\u2019m no better, perhaps even worse. I don\u2019t know how many people I\u2019ve killed, how many governments I\u2019ve toppled. It\u2019s all a blur now really.\u201d He trailed off for a moment before he smiled and got up to kiss the corner to her mouth. \u201cAs long as you\u2019re content then this is fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI just don\u2019t \u2014 hmmm \u2014 want you getting the wrong idea about me. I\u2019m not some kind of pure, shining girl here to lift you out of the sewer. I\u2019m not going to be any kind of balance for you.\u201d She half-turned in her chair, taking his hands. \u201cThank you for breakfast, Victor, darling.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI would never hold anyone to such a high standard as being perfect, it\u2019s impossible. An\u2019 I sure as hell would never ask you to drag me out of the sewer. I would never imagine to burden someone with the task of balancing me out anyways. I\u2019ve managed alright so far so I don\u2019t see the reason to ask someone to try.\u201d Victor looked down at their hands and smiled. \u201cI\u2019m not the kind of person that wants to be around people to be fixed, I\u2019m just looking for some understanding and trust.\u201d<\/p>\n
