They aren\u2019t obtrusive, and they don\u2019t affect me physically.\u201d Summer\u2019s eyes went distant for a moment. \u201cIt\u2019s the people I\u2019m not bonded to that are the problem, that way. Victor looked down for a moment. \u201cI wish there was something I could do,\u201d he mumbled almost inaudibly. He looked up at her then, questioning and curiosity in his eyes. \u201cHave you ever given your emotions to other people?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yes, I can project.\u201d Summer propped her elbows on the table and looked at him over her hands. \u201cI don\u2019t understand what you mean. What is it you \/want\/ to do? I\u2019m not exactly suffering anymore. I have a job, there are people who see my abilities as useful but allow me to say no, and now there\u2019s you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re with SHIELD?\u201d Victor whistled, \u201cWell my thought process was that should something become difficult again, I\u2019d be willing to \u2018relieve\u2019 you of some of the emotion. I\u2019ve been to dark places so I wouldn\u2019t mind, and I\u2019m immortal in practically every way.\u201d He shrugged, realizing that he probably sounded a little ridiculous. \u201cI\u2019m sorry it\u2019s probably not one of my better ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n
