Victor looked a little sheepish before he righted the shoulder of her shirt, kissed her soundly right below her ear then stood up. There was a twinkle in his eye as he held his hand out to her. \u201cSorry, I don\u2019t really feel temperature. Would you like to stop by my place? Or your\u2019s? Whichever you\u2019re most comfortable at.\u201d He looked around him and rocked back a little bit. \u201cIt\u2019s going to get colder and I don\u2019t want you to freeze to death.\u201d He said with a smirk as he threw her words back at her.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Summer took his hand and pulled hard, a little wavery as she got to her feet. \u201cOh dear, what have I gotten myself into,\u201d she said lightly, grinning at Victor. \u201cBets on mine being closest?\u201d Letting go his hand, she stuck her tongue out and started to run up the path.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Victor chuckled at her comment but before he could respond she had taken off. He shook his head, looking after her fondly for a moment before taking off for her. One of the perks of being a vampire was that he had incredible speed and stamina so he could keep pace for a long time. \u201cWell that was cheeky.\u201d He said to her as they made their way up the path once he had caught up to her. \u201cHow far away is your house?\u201d He wondered aloud as they continued on.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“Apartment,” she corrected. “Not far, south edge of the park.” He kept up with her, and it made her laugh, bright and loud in the cold air. Let’s see him keep up with this!
