It wasn\u2019t that I thought you were \u2026 how did you put it? forward, it was that we were both sitting there castigating ourselves for not being lovable, and then you stumbled your way through possibly the most awkward asking out I think I\u2019ve ever heard.\u201d Summer squeezed his hand.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t blame you for being in shock,\u201d he laughed. \u201cAnd yeah, I know. That was one of the things I was tearing myself down about. You\u2019re definitely in a different league of women than I\u2019m used to, so I was a little\u2026 Well, you nailed it right on the head. I was awkward as hell about the whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Summer ducked her head, embarrassed.
