The whole package\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He did his best to push his negative self image from his mind for the time being, and he succeeded.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>With every word out of his mouth, Summer\u2019s shoulders relaxed a little more. One hand swiped at the wetness on her face, smearing it away. \u201cOkay. Okay. Let\u2019s just \u2026 okay, let\u2019s just go and have dinner, and, and we, you can count this as a first date. Okay? And, and \u2026 \u201d she pulled in a deep, shuddering breath, \u201cplease just \u2026 be yourself. What you want to do, don\u2019t hesitate. Trust me to tell you if it\u2019s not okay?\u201d She fetched her backpack from the car, and looked over her shoulder. \u201cAnd if I ever hear \u2018you\u2019re too good for me,\u2019 come out of your mouth in a serious context again, I\u2019m going to explode your ego.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The faint smile grew just a little more as she spoke. \u201cThat sounds good,\u201d he said, letting out a grateful breath, his thoughts a mix of\u00a0<em>maybe we can put all this awkwardness behind us sometime <\/em>and\u00a0<em>thank you for another chance<\/em>. \u201dSo I can still make jokes about it\u2026?\u201d He asked, a little bit of teasing in his tone as he walked toward the restaurant\u2019s door.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Sure,&#8221; Summer shrugged. She reached out and grabbed his hand. &#8220;You wouldn&#8217;t be you if you didn&#8217;t joke around, I think. Tell me about this place.
