A streetlight blindsided her, forcing her into a pinwheel tumble, headlong to the ground. She crashed down, flaming wings setting a few small fires before vanishing utterly, and cried out once before falling unconscious. Even in her coma, muscle seizures shook her body. It\u2019s your doorstep she\u2019s on. What do you do?<\/a><\/em><\/div>\n<blockquote><p>She didn\u2019t want to wake up. Awake was pain, and flame, and trying to do far more than she\u2019d ever been capable of on her best day. She cried out intermittently in unconsciousness, something in her still trying to resist the seizures.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Steve was no experienced medic, but it would take too long to get a SHIELD medical expert over here. Using what few tricks he picked up over the years, he fumbled around for his first aid kit, a bottle of water, and a damp towel. He applied the cool rag over her brow and tried to offer her some fluid from the water bottle. Hopefully she would drink.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Coolness. There was coolness. Someone wanted. Worry. Hope. Urgency? She swallowed, and consciousness crawled closer even while she tried to hold it off. Awake was failure.
