Summer Rainault shaded her eyes, glancing up at the sun. She\u2019d stay out another hour before heading back to Camelot. She\u2019d found a good harvest of the herbs that were wanted by the physician, but the day was more than nice enough to linger. Early autumn wasn\u2019t often so.<\/p>\n

Absorbed in her task, she didn\u2019t pay much attention to the sounds around her until the several roughly dressed men had surrounded her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell hey, what\u2019s this?\u201d one of them growled, brandishing a knife at her. \u201cPretty girl, all alone, not a good thing.\u201d Another one chuckled, a cruel sound.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll your money, and quickly,\u201d the one with the knife said, beckoning.<\/p>\n

Summer twisted her mouth sideways. \u201cDo I look to have money on me, you fool?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Arthur was walking around the town making sure everything was in order. Seeing that everything was, Arthur started to head back to the castle, when a group of people caught his eye. He turned to them and saw a girl surrounded by men. He walked towards them and tapped one of them on the shoulder.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYa what do you want?\u201d The man turned around and asked him.<\/p>\n

Arthur crossed his arms. \u201cIs there a reason you\u2019re surrounding this young lady?\u201d<\/p>\n

The man with the knife quickly came up with an excuse, \u201cOh, we were making sure she got home safely. We didn\u2019t want her to get hurt, since she\u2019s all alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

The prince didn\u2019t believe them, of course, so he walked between them and took the girl\u2019s arm. \u201cI\u2019ll make sure she gets home. Go before I punish you all.\u201d He said as the men scurried away. \u201cAre you alright?\u201d He asked the girl.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Summer turned an amused and bemused expression on her rescuer. He was certainly dressed for the part, chainmail and the red cloak of the knights of Camelot.<\/p>\n

Then she got a good look at his face, and the smile twisted a little. \u201cI\u2019m fine, sire. They hadn\u2019t done more than threaten me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Arthur smiled at her. \u201cGood. Can\u2019t let a beautiful girl get hurt, that\u2019s against the knight code.\u201d He chuckled at his own joke.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
