In fact, Tom Hiddleston\u2019s eyes are blue and he had to use green contacts plus effects in Thor. Loki\u2019s eyes are blue in The Avengers because of his scepter. The same happened with Hawkeye and Selvig. Loki was very vulnerable when Thor smashed him on the floor. He had a few moments of lucity, just like when Natasha slapped Hawkeye. Thor asked Loki to look around and see the damage he caused, asking to help him. It was a conflict, you can see. <em><strong>Then his eyes became green<\/strong><\/em>. You can see in the last gif. The change is VERY notable. It was a\u00a0conflict but the power of the Tesseract was stronger. Loki did many bad things, but he was being possessed most of time. NOT like a robot, as with the others, but as Loki said \u201c<strong>It touches everyone differently<\/strong>\u201d. Everything makes sense to you now? One of the reasons why I can\u2019t hate Loki at all. I\u2019m not saying he\u2019s not guilty, he is, but the Tesseract\u2019s power fueled his hatred. He was being, in fact, controlled. Now we have proof of it.<\/small><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/this-is-exactly-it\">#this is exactly it<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/loki-is-being-controlled\">#loki is being controlled<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/though-not-in-the-same-way\">#though not in the same way<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/nor-as-completely-as-the-others\">#nor as completely as the others<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/it-is-a-matter-of-motivation-vs-agency\">#it is a matter of motivation vs agency<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/selvig-and-clint-only-had-so-much-agency-when-they-were-being-controlled\">#selvig and clint only had so much agency when they were being controlled<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/minimal-amounts-in-the-ways-that-were-shown\">#minimal amounts in the ways that were shown<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/clint-pulled-his-shots-as-to-kill-fewer-individuals\">#clint pulled his shots as to kill fewer individuals<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/selvig-installing-the-failsafe-device\">#selvig installing the failsafe device<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/but-their-motivations-were-still-ramped-up-in-the-same-way-loki%27s-was\">#but their motivations were still ramped up in the same way loki\u2019s was<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/selvig%27s-with-his-desire-for-knowledge\">#selvig\u2019s with his desire for knowledge<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/clint%27s-with-his-focus-on-tactics-and-proving-himself-useful\">#clint\u2019s with his focus on tactics and proving himself useful<\/a><span><\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/loki%27s-motivation-was-his-rage\">#loki\u2019s motivation was his rage<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/his-desire-for-revenge\">#his desire for revenge<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/and-to-prove-himself-as-something-more-than-the-second-son-forever-standing-in-shadow\">#and to prove himself as something more than the second son forever standing in shadow<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/and-while-he%27s-still-utterly-responsible-for-the-actions-that-he-took\">#and while he\u2019s still utterly responsible for the actions that he took<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/it-was-the-contact-with-the-tesseract%27s-power-which-drove-the-darkest-parts-of-him\">#it was the contact with the tesseract\u2019s power which drove the darkest parts of him<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/the-scepter-that-kept-him-harnessed-to-it-even-when-it-was-well-outside-of-his-range\">#the scepter that kept him harnessed to it even when it was well outside of his range<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/and-while-the-darkness-still-grips-his-heart\">#and while the darkness still grips his heart<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/he-may-yet-be-able-to-surpass-its-influence\">#he may yet be able to surpass its influence<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tag\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tumblr.com\/tagged\/without-something-there-to-hold-him-to-it\">#without something there to hold him to it<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bolded that part for emphasis because while Selvig and Clint didn\u2019t have much choice in the matter, Loki willingly ingests the power given off by the scepter as a way to fuel and amplify his own rage and power. It was like a drug to him but it\u2019s different from being possessed I think. <em><strong>Possession has to deal with having little agency at all over yourself<\/strong><\/em>. Clint and Selvig were lacking in agency in those moments but Loki was not. Being under the influence is a different story because it <strong><em>involves choice<\/em><\/strong>. Of course, the more you become obsessed with a substance the harder it is to give it up but there is still<strong><em> choice<\/em><\/strong> there.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The one thing I cannot agree with is this:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span>Loki did many bad things, but he was being possessed most of time. Now we have proof of it.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Because it\u2019s different from possession and is more like being under the influence. <span>Because if you take away the influence of the scepter\u2019s power, you are still left with an angry and spiteful individual who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, \u00a0will stop at nothing to hurt his brother, and will continue to do terrible things. Because you don\u2019t have to hate Loki to disapprove of\/be disgusted by the things he does &#8211; I mean Thor doesn\u2019t hate Loki despite all the terrible things he\u2019s done but in no way does he condone Loki\u2019s actions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>But yes, Loki\u2019s plans end up backfiring on him terribly because he gets in over his head and makes the most foolish decisions ever. All the time. He thinks these things are going to get him <strong><em>what he wants<\/em><\/strong> even though Thor is trying his best to give his brother <strong><em>what he needs<\/em><\/strong>. Thor knows he\u2019s under some kind of influence, -who controls the would be king and all that &#8211; even though it\u2019s more of <strong><em>a<\/em><\/strong> <em><strong>what<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>rather\u00a0than <em><strong>a who.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Sure he was shown this power but Loki himself most likely became obsessed with it by his own volition. Loki always gets obsessed with foolish ideas as I\u2019ve stated before. Because he\u2019s \u201cfull of childish ambition\u201d and \u201clacks conviction.\u201d He makes mountains out of molehills. He blames others for his problems. Etc.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Like I understand why Loki did this but I cannot sympathize with him at this point.
