\u201cDo I get running commentary if I watch them with you? I think I\u2019d quite like that.\u201d Summer jumped to her feet, dusting her hands off. \u201cTell you what, let\u2019s do that. Maybe at my place? You must be in a hotel here, and that\u2019s no fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Tom nodded, \u201cYeah, that would be great!\u201d He smiled a toothy grin, watching her as she got up to her feet. \u201cAh, yeah, only a hotel..not bad actually, but I guess I can spend a few hours off.\u201d He said, checking his phone in his pocket once more, glancing back to Summer.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t let me keep you,\u201d she said dryly, something that looked like a smile but wasn\u2019t curving her mouth. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t want you to feel pressured or anything.\u201d Her eyebrows were raised just the slightest bit, before she went on, \u201cDo you need to fetch anything from your room?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cNo, it\u2019s quite alright!\u201d Tom nodded, \u201cI don\u2019t believe I have any shoots or sets to be at right now, so I\u2019m really off for the night.\u201d He reassured, taking a moment to think. \u201cNo, I don\u2019t believe I need anything..ah, where is your house? Is it far from here?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“No, I don’t wander far from home. Just a few blocks’ walk.” Shoving her hands into her pockets, Summer jerked her head in the appropriate direction and started walking. “Come on. I’ll apologise right now for the state of the place … I live alone, except for four cats, and so books and things tend to just stay piled. I don’t have a lot of — people over.”<\/p>\n

She’d been going to say ‘friends’, but it was no good putting that on this poor man. Not even a local. She’d let it go, and seize the moment while it lasted instead.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
