After a brief internal struggle, Summer answered honestly, \u201cMostly the computers. I\u2019ve always had a computer, and I just \u2026 a man like you, with that suit? You must have some of the best tech on the planet.\u201d She glanced around. \u201cI am going to get so lost in here. Where is my bedroom, anyway?\u201d<\/p>\n

Five seconds too late, she realised that might not have been the best thing to ask Tony Stark, playboy. Time to wing it. \u201cI \u2026 just want to put my bag down before I even try to go exploring.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cNow that I can do,\u201d Tony said after a moment\u2019s thought. \u00a0\u201dI\u2019ve still got equipment set up in the garage, when I needed more room for a test. \u00a0And I can introduce you to one right now.\u201d \u00a0With that, he looked at the ceiling, snapped his fingers, and said, \u201cYes, I\u2019m talking about you. \u00a0Be polite.\u201d<\/p>\n

-My apologies, sir. \u00a0Guests do not always take it well when the building begins speaking to them. \u00a0Greetings, Miss.-<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

At her last question, Tony smirked, eyebrows raising, but all he said was, \u201cJust follow me,\u201d and turned towards one of the elevators.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cOh my god!\u201d Summer emitted a tiny, high-pitched squeak. \u201cIs that an AI? No, sorry, if that\u2019s an AI I should be asking it \u2014 him? It? Hi?\u201d She tried not to split her face grinning, gave up trying to school her face into something less like a ecstatic schoolgirl. \u201cYou wrote an AI! I think I love you!\u201d<\/p>\n

She turned around, trying to follow Tony, trying to spot where the speakers were that the AI was using, half-laughing. \u201cThis is so amazing!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

-\u2018Him\u2019 preferably, miss, though I have no objections to \u2018it.\u2019 \u00a0I am Jarvis.-<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve written a few AIs,\u201d Tony corrected, walking backwards with his hands in his pockets so he could face her, grinning with an expression that suggested he was mentally preening at her reaction. \u00a0\u201dJarvis is just the most advanced and kind of a butt head, and the others live in the workshop most of the time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“Hi, Jarvis!” Summer waved haphazardly at the ceiling. “Please don’t call me ‘miss,’ it makes me feel like I should still be sixteen and virginal. First name is fine.” She unslung her backpack as she stepped into the elevator, letting it rest at her feet while she examined the details of everything.<\/p>\n
