At her tone and her facial expression, the mood\u00a0sobered\u00a0some. Fenrir frowned slightly. He set down his own glass and leaned slightly against the table, arms folded before him as he looked her in the eye as candidly as he was able. \u201cDo not sell yourself so short, Summer. I doubt any can be \u2018better than you\u2019, as you say. You are intelligent, caring, and brave. As far as I have seen, you are truly one in a million on this planet. Now Summer blushed hard. \u201cFlatterer,\u201d she said softly. \u201cI wish you wouldn\u2019t say things like that. You\u2019ve never even met Winter, so how can you judge, anyway? I\u2019m just \u2026 \u201d another shrug, \u201cme. Not special. SHIELD doesn\u2019t even consider me important enough to keep an eye on.\u201d She blew out a sigh. \u201cSorry, didn\u2019t mean to get all mopey on you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He shook his head. \u201cYou needn\u2019t be sorry. It is true that I have never before met your sister, though I must stand by my words. I am no liar, Summer.\u201d He smiled, resting his chin on his entwined fingers. \u201cI like \u2018you\u2019. The way you are.\u201d \u00a0He pursed his lips, again tossing aside the comment with his hands. \u201cSHIELD\u2019s concerns should matter to you not. I am not \u2018kept an eye on\u2019 either. Even by those who put me in a cave. I am a great risk to the AEsir and yet I am disregarded. Perhaps SHIELD trusts you enough that they feel they needn\u2019t keep tabs, mm?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
