She let Fenrir make her feel better, toasting her glass with his. \u201cMay you deserve everything you want, and want everything you deserve,\u201d she said, drinking again. Setting her glass down and tapping her fingers against the base of it, she rested her chin on the other and watched him for a moment. Tried not to admire too closely.<\/p>\n

Failed.<\/p>\n

As a distraction, Summer said, \u201cSo, is there anything you want to know that I can answer?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cAnd to you as well.\u201d The glass was tipped back against his lips and he drank. Not that he had ever been able to partake of Asgardian mead before, but he knew it to be stronger than any form of drink found on Midgard by at least tenfold. The wine here was delicious, though he knew that he could go a long way with it before falling down drunk.<\/p>\n

Or at least he hoped as much. His lineage was a tad questionable in that matter.<\/p>\n

His eyes drifted back to her and he pursed his lips, leaning with his hands against his lips, studying her slightly. \u201cYou could always tell me more about yourself?\u201d He grinned at her behind his hands, showing that his interest was merely friendly, not intending to harm her.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That earned him a sideways smile. \u201cWhat do you want to know? I\u2019m not really that interesting, really. Jut a lesser \u2018costumed freak\u2019.\u201d Her fingers made quotes around those words. \u201cBorn in the south, here. I\u2019m ordinary, except this one thing I can do, and that\u2019s all.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cYou are far from ordinary or uninteresting to me, Summer.\u201d He took a sip from his wine glass. \u201cI suppose I would like to know whatever it is you could spare to tell me. For starters, what is this this \u2018one thing\u2019?\u201d His eyes sparkled slightly in the low light of the\u00a0restaurant, his curiosity heightening the blue of them.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“I’m an empath,” she told him, softly. “It means I can sometimes tell what others are feeling, and project my feelings, or any feelings, on to them.” She raked a hand back through her hair. “I used it a little bit bringing you here; you were all edges and nerves, so I … comforted you a little.
