While Fenrir was changing, Summer quickly braided her hair. If they were going to eat dinner outside, better not to let the wind get a hold of it. When he came out, her eyebrows shot up again. \u201cYou look good,\u201d she said, head cocked to one side. \u201cI hope you know how to handle yourself, because I think we may have a girl problem tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fluffy cat headbutted her. \u201cNo, not you, stinker. You don\u2019t know what girls are.\u201d Offering the crook of her arm to Fenrir, Summer gestured toward the door once more. \u201cShall we, m\u2019lord?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He smiled. \u201cThank you.\u201d He noted the braid in her hair, pleased by the sight of it. \u201cYou look most beautiful with your hair done thusly, if you do not mind my saying so.\u201d His smile slipped slightly at her word choice and yet again he found himself confused. It was beginning to nag at him, how little he understood of this world. But he suspected it was to be expected. \u201cI do not know what you mean to say.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regardless, he gave a light bow and took her arm in his. \u201cAye, we shall m\u2019lady. At your lead.\u201d He said as he held the door open for her to exit first.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cWhat I meant was,\u201d she explained on the way down the stairs, \u201cas a human, you\u2019re pretty attractive. Girls like that sort of thing, tall, dark, brooding, looks like he might be a bit of a bad boy. I\u2019m not really all that good at flirting.\u201d She gave a self-deprecating chuckle. \u201cBut there are girls around here who really<\/em> make me look awkward.\u201d Summer tilted her head at him, unlocking the car again. \u201cIs it going to bother you, people admiring you?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Well this came as another surprise. Fenrir had no idea that this form of his could be taken as attractive. He assumed himself to be rather plain, at best, when he first saw his new form. He wasn\u2019t entirely sure how to take this new information. He turned to give her a look, shaking his head. \u201cLady Summer you are by no means awkward. You have been nothing but kind to me since I have come to Midgard. You have provided for me, helped steer me in my confusion of this world, and have shared with me the excitements which your realm has to offer.\u201d He opened the car door and slid in beside her, musing over her question in his mind. \u201cNo, I suppose it shouldn\u2019t. I doubt any will. I know precious few in this realm. And since your city is so big I doubt I shall see another familiar face, aside from your own.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“Ooooh, flattery will get you everywhere, boyo,” Summer grinned, shaking a finger at him. “Keep that up and I’ll just keep you right here at home with me.” Her tone was light, teasing, and then she smacked herself on the forehead. “What am I doing?
