He\u2019s very happy right now, and in a couple hours it will wear off, and you should try to give him a smaller dose next time.\u201d She sighed. \u201cWhy in the world is the only thing that gets you wound up a \/cat\/?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI never said I didn\u2019t care!\u201d Loki fumed, \u201cAs I recall, that was a conclusion you drew yourself. \u00a0I didn\u2019t GIVE him the dose, he climbed up on the cabinets and ate the whole\u00a0<em>bloody bag!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cYou work pretty hard to push people to that conclusion, Loki. Liemaster,\u201d Summer drawled. \u201cHow\u2019s that working out, that lying to yourself bit?\u201d She ignored his tale of Cat\u2019s antics. Cats did that. Generally speaking, they knew their own limits. Loki, apparently, didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cLie<em>smith<\/em>,\u201d Loki hissed, scooping Cat up into the crook of his arm, his hands gentle on his pet despite his visible anger. \u00a0 \u201cAnd who are\u00a0<em>you, mortal<\/em>,\u00a0to speak to me thus!\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t really a question. \u00a0He spun on his heel and stalked towards the door, fairly radiating rage.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;An empath, you idiot,&#8221; Summer shot back, leaning on her hands. &#8220;Did you not pay <em>any<\/em> attention the first time we met?&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>liesmith-loki: i-am-the-firechild: liesmith-loki: i-am-the-firechild: Summer smacked herself in the forehead. \u201cA little something about you not caring, I think it was.
