\u201cA telepath,\u201d Summer mused. \u201cInteresti\u2014Charles. A telepath named Charles. \/You\/ know Professor X?!\u201d She laid her head down on the table. \u201cI must have done something wrong in my life, all the good stuff fell to you.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Jane laughed and shook her head. \u201cYou didn\u2019t do anything wrong! I just\u2026 it happens to be a lot of strange coincidences,\u201d she said, shrugging. \u201cBut honestly, I\u2019ll introduce the two of you. He\u2019s amazing, he really is, and he\u2019s always eager to learn more about anyone and anything.\u201d She smiled. \u201cHe\u2019d probably say that you\u2019re fascinating.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cNo, just insane,\u201d Summer replied, grinning back. \u201cI should just make you list all the famous people you know and be done with it, then tag along on one of your days just so I can say I laid eyes on them all.\u201d<\/p>\n

She looked out at the street, a little amazed. One random e-mail, and somehow things turned right around. Okay, so maybe Loki wasn\u2019t the safest friend to have, all touch-me-not and distant, and Jane was often busy with her research, but it was a far cry better than when she\u2019d first come here, alone and empty and hurting.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI really don\u2019t know that many. I just happen to know one famous person who works really closely with a ton of other famous people,\u201d Jane said, and grinned. \u201cI don\u2019t know any movie stars or models or anything. I just know super heroes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even that was nuts, though. If she had been told three years ago that she\u2019d know all of these people, she would have just laughed, because it was completely ridiculous. \u201cBut seriously, I\u2019d be happy to introduce you to at least Thor, Tony, and Pepper. They\u2019re the ones I\u2019m closest to.\u201d She thought for a moment. \u201cAnd Johnny Storm, I guess. He\u2019d like you.\u201d She smirked. \u201cHe\u2019d probably\u00a0really<\/em> like you. You\u2019re both really hot.\u201d Literally.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
