Jane nodded, finishing off the doughnuts she was working on and washing it down with coffee. \u201cI\u2019m glad you\u2019re here. It\u2019s nice seeing another person from when I was younger,\u201d she said, and smiled. Really, Summer was the only person Jane had seen from when she was growing up since high school.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo you\u2019re a web designer now?\u201d She picked up another doughnut, this one jelly-filled. \u201cHave you designed any websites I would\u2019ve seen?\u201d She grinned.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI kind of doubt it. My big project is a martial arts tournament site, but I do a lot of little consulting projects for people I know. That\u2019s why I\u2019m hoping to meet Tony, actually. If I can get him to let me get my hands on his site \u2026 oooh.\u201d Summer flexed her fingers, pretending she was gripping the site, or maybe Tony.<\/p>\n

She grinned at Jane. \u201cOr, you know, I can just get my hands on him. I know, I know, he\u2019s an asshole. I know from assholes, though.\u201d Pointing at Jane, she added, \u201cYou are lucky, to have someone who cares about you first and himself second. Anyway, it\u2019s not that I\u2019m hard up for money, but getting my name associated with Stark Industries would be a huge boost in a new area.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cYou should definitely try asking him. No harm in trying, right?\u201d Jane asked, shrugging. \u201cBesides, he might be way too interested about the fact that you can call fire to think much about saying no.\u201d And, okay, maybe it would suck having to use that to get an in, but it was completely true. Tony liked science-y things, especially when they were kind of\u2026 abnormal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d offer to pay you to do a website for me, but I don\u2019t really need one,\u201d she said, and chuckled. \u201cS.H.I.E.L.D. doesn\u2019t exactly put any of my research on the internet.\u201d Granted, she could put her own research out there if she wanted to. \u201cAnd I don\u2019t really want it there, either. I\u2019d rather put it in a book or something. If I write a book, I\u2019ll let you design the website about me.\u201d She grinned.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
