Winter closes her eyes, and her hands close a little tighter, and then there\u2019s a thump of displaced air that blows Summer\u2019s hair everywhere and they\u2019re standing under a tree in the Rainaults\u2019 front yard instead of at Sky High. Winter lets go of both their hands and goes into the house without saying a word, leaving Summer and Stiles standing awkwardly together.<\/p>\n

“I, um, I could use a little help with the math homework?” Summer offers, which is only the truth, but then again if Stiles is there maybe nobody (read: her mother) will ask her about school in depth and she can get away with not talking about her backlash episode.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Stiles had been through this at least once, but he still never got over the odd sensation of going through this every single time. It was strange, one minute he was at Sky High and then another he was down on the ground at home. Or\u2026at least he was close to it. Winter disappears, releasing their hands and disappearing inside the house to leave Stiles and Summer in place.<\/small><\/p>\n

He glances over at her, laughing absently. \u201cHonestly, I really don\u2019t feel like doing math right now. Do you wanna do something else instead?\u201d he questions curiously, looking at her with bright eyes. Well, as bright as amber eyes could possibly get, anyway.<\/small><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“Run away from myself,” she admits wryly. “Uh … I haven’t seen the latest episode of Sailor Moon Crystal, if you want to … ? Or the latest Doctor Who, for that matter. I really like Capaldi, he’s going to be a great Doctor.”<\/p>\n
