Clint holds out a hand wondering what else there is in your mind. He also thinks if something simple like a dance is all you are going to ask for. \u201cBut of course, my lady. Jarvis, can we have some music, please? Can I have this dance, Lady Summer?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She puts her hand in his as Jarvis finds and plays an old waltz. It\u2019s not quite the right time period, but that\u2019s fine. Waltzes are easy, and the truth is that she\u2019s not sure any of them know truly medieval dances \u2014 except maybe Jarvis, who has the internet at his nerve endings, literally. She rests her head against Clint\u2019s shoulder, trying not to think about the fact that Tony may be in danger.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He begins with a simple waltz, glad that it\u2019s not anything else as dancing is not one of his finer talents.<\/p>\n

The archer can feel nervousness in the air. A few songs later he hopes to set you at peace and to make his own thoughts quiet down by mentioning, \u201cI\u2019m sure we will hear if there\u2019s trouble. Just say a word anytime if you want me to check and come back though.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“I’m keeping tabs on him,” she says quietly. Tony’s all bright excitement and and curiosity right now, edged with a little wariness. Her concern is that when things go pearshaped, she won’t be able to get there in time.<\/p>\n

“There is no trouble, Mr Barton, Miss Summer,” Jarvis assures them. “Sir’s vitals are steady and he is currently in no danger.”<\/p>\n

She’d still feel better if she knew what it was Tony was talking to. She tries to put it out of her mind and keeps dancing with Clint, head on his shoulder. It’s moments like these that she realises she doesn’t give him enough attention.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
