“Yeah, that\u2019s because I figured it out before you could!” His hand was cruelly tight around her wrist. “That what you did to him, why he\u2019s so devoted to you? Did you fuck him, bitch?”<\/p>\n

She shook her head, red hair flying around her face. \u201cNo, nonono, no, no, no.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Isaac regarded the scene before him with increasing horror, failing to comprehend the foul words spilling from the male\u2019s lips and instead focusing only on Summer\u2019s growing panic. He could hear her erratic heartbeat thumping away in her chest and he slowly pulled her back behind him, eyes darkening further.<\/p>\n

“I think it\u2019s best that you leave before I hurt you,” he stated lowly, dangerously; after all, he was a Lahey and they were a violent lot, apparently. “And I\u2019d warn you not to speak to her like that ever again.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Summer made a pain sound, trying to pull away from both of them. “You’re hurting me.”<\/p>\n

“Good,” Jesse hissed. “Hurt you like you hurt me, like you’re hurting him. She took away your free will, did you know that, kid? Whatever you’re feeling now, it’s her. It’s not you.
