She hissed between her teeth again as he pressed gently against the gauze, pressed the medical tape down. \u201cIt\u2019s not your fault at all. Whoever that blue eyed person is, it\u2019s his fault. I was just walking back to my car, minding my own business, when he freaking jumped out from behind that big pine tree and \/growled\/ at me, all fangs and glowing eyes. And then Derek jumped out at me! I didn\u2019t even know you were there until you called my name.\u201d She studied her hands, wounds warded behind white cotton.<\/p>\n

Then Summer reached out and closed her hands carefully over his. \u201cI want to know \/everything\/. I need to understand. And I \u2014 I want to see. What you look like. Like that. Again.\u201d She held tight, not wanting him to pull away. Needing him to understand that she didn\u2019t want to let go; she just wanted to \/know\/.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hating the pained noises his touches were eliciting in her, Isaac forced himself to continue, fearing that an infection might set into her wounds if he wasn\u2019t thorough enough. Sitting back once he was somewhat satisfied with the wrappings, he chewed on his bottom lip and heaved out a deep sigh, mentally taking note to have a word with the rest of the pack later on. \u201cThey\u2026he shouldn\u2019t have done that, Summer, I\u2019m sorry. But once the Full Moon hits, our\u2026our wolf side takes over and he wouldn\u2019t have hurt you. I really think he was just seeing who you were?\u201d<\/p>\n

He hesitated then and trailed off, turning his hand over so that his fingers could curl around hers, breath hitching at the request. \u201cI trust you to tell you, Summer. But you\u2019ll have to let me talk, okay? You can wait until the end to yell at me or whatever, but you have to try and understand\u2026or I can\u2019t\u2026I\u2019ve never told anybody about this, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“Wasn’t going to hurt me my ass,” she grumbled under her breath. That person wanted her to run, one way or another, and he had fully intended to do whatever it took. But she wasn’t going to tell Isaac that.<\/p>\n

Not right now.<\/p>\n
