Summer froze, staring at him. \u201cWerewolves,\u201d she repeated. She looked up at the Moon, and back down at him. She took a few breaths, and said, \u201cWell.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Isaac, what are you doing?” Red-eyes hissed.<\/p>\n

Summer gulped, and clung harder. She wasn\u2019t afraid of Isaac, even like this, but Red-eyes frightened her.<\/p>\n

“Derek, you\u2019re scaring her,” Gold-eyes said softly.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

“I trust her, okay?” Isaac whirled to face Derek, knowing that he was being disrespectful and disloyal by answering back to his Alpha in such a manner, but this was for Summer, and he\u2019d do anything for her. Plus, he wouldn\u2019t lie to the only person that meant the world to him, not anymore.<\/p>\n

“Werewolves,” he echoed with a nod and pursed his lips, waiting for her to say something more as he half-listened to the interaction between Derek and Scott.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Summer yelped when he spun around, clinging more tightly. The pressure tweaked her ankle, too, the one that already hurt. Nerves made her tone sarcastic. “Can I be put down before you start fighting? I don’t want to bleed anymore than I already.”<\/p>\n
