About a week after Loki is brought home, gravely wounded, a cardboard box appears outside his door. Taped to the top is a greeting card envelope with “Loki” printed on it.

Inside the envelope is 

with the text “Sending hugs and thinking of you!” written on it in silver sharpie. On the back is written “If you ever want me for anything, just call” and a phone number.

Inside the box is The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, Guards! Guards!, and Return of the Shadow as well as a small, carefully crafted dreamcatcher, glittering with beads and feathers. A few loose discs in the box are labelled ‘Mythbusters’. A pouch of cat treats, a handful of toy mice, and a few bags of Godiva chocolates fill up the rest of the space.
