“I do think I had rather figured that out,” she drawled, thickening her own slight accent on purpose. “Ask me something else!”
Tom nodded, smiling a bit wider. “Um, well..what do you do? Work-wise, I suppose..”
Slender fingers started combing through her long tail of hair again, nervously. “I do web design, from home. It gives me really flexible hours, because I do my best work late at night, when all the buzzing hearts of the city are asleep. So during the day, I — help around, with this and that.” Hopefully, he hadn’t noticed that flaw in the smoothness of that sentence …
“I’ve been junior partner on a big, well-paying contract for a long time now, so I don’t even really have to do a lot to make enough. But then, you don’t ever have that worry, do you? Being an actor. Come on, just a little hint on what you’ve done?”
Tom smiled, “Well that sure sounds interesting!” He nodded, finding designs to be rather difficult for him; he wasn’t much of an artist. “I can’t tell you much of upcoming movies, unfortunately..” He chuckled, shaking his head. “I recently had finished The Hollow Crown as Prince Hal or Henry V. I really do enjoy Shakespeare though.” He grinned, obviously passionate of the literature.
Her eyes lit up, and she practically vibrated for how fast she sat up straight. “You do Shakespeare? I think I love you now! That’s it. You have to tell me your name, because you’re going to be my new favourite actor. Nobody does fuckin’ Shakespeare anymore!”
