“Yes, my lord.” She let him pull her down, and nestled into his arms, looping one arm around his neck so she could kiss his jawline.
He smiled and planted a kiss on her lips. He looked around and saw a yellow flower in reaching distance. Arthur picked it and put it in Summer’s hair. “There you go.”
“Thank you.” Summer let her fingers comb through his hair, tracing along the back of his neck. “I wonder what you would have done if you hadn’t surprised me into confessing.”
“I never would have known.” He said simply. Arthur let her play with his hair.
“That actually seems kind of awful.” Her face was sad. “You make it sound like you never get any choices of your own.”
“I really don’t.” He shrugged. “But I’ve never got any choices.”
Tracing the lines of his face with her fingertips, deliberately she looked up at him through her eyelashes. “You’ve chosen me. What will you now?”
“I will let nothing come between us at all.”
That earned him a laugh. “Simple and clear.” Tugging his head down, she kissed him slowly.
He smiled and kissed her back wrapping his arms around her waist.
Tucking her head under his chin, she said, “Tell me something nice?”
