Summer nearly shrieked with glee. “Oh, /yes/! That is /perfect/! Gabriel, I think I love you! /Please/ can I watch?” The rose dropped out of her hair, and she swooped it back up, spinning a gleeful little circle, clutching it to her mouth and laughing.
The trickster couldn’t help himself, he laughed heartily with her. “If you so desire, but it’s not too entertaining til ya hit the results.” Smiling warmly, genuinely even, Gabriel cocks his head and snaps his fingers. “And now, it’s done. The next nine months are going to be fanfreakingtastic.” Teleporting over to Summer, he steals a quick peck from her lips, then pulls back to see her reaction.
She stared back at Gabriel, eyes gone huge and round. “I th-thought you didn’t — I mean — um.” Summer cleared her throat. “Gabriel,” she started carefully, “if you don’t want me to ‘jump your bones’ that’s a funny way of going about it.”
Biting his lip nervously, the angel blushed a deep red. “I…um… sorry, you were being so cute that I couldn’t not…?” He swallowed hard. “I’m sorry if I offended you.”
“I’m not offended,” she said immediately. Gently, she put a hand on his arm. “I’m just confused, okay? I’m not at all offended or annoyed. Please don’t apologise.” Her gaze flicked away, then back, the mischievous twinkle in them again. “Or if you have to be sorry, be sorry with a proper kiss. I’m less than half your age, and I can do better than that!”
