“Don’t get used to it,” she murmured. “I like the surprise. It’s the one from when you were young.” She unwound herself and picked it back up, touching a fingertip to Victor’s face. “Anyway, I thought there was going to be a movie?”

Victor smirked a little at her response. “Well I guess it’s a good thing I like your surprises then.” His eyes saddened for a moment, thinking of his childhood friend. Jakober had been his only friend at the Institute and every now and again they saw each other but things had turned out too differently for them. Victor’s eyes brightened then, “Of course.” He turned around with the remote in hand and turned the fairly big TV hanging on the wall in front of the couches on, quickly launching Netflix. “Care for anything to eat or drink darling?” he asked while he scrolled through Netflix.

“Just tell me where the popcorn is,” she replied, starting to wander through the doorway. “And try not to pick anything in the horror genre. I’d like to sleep tonight.”

“First hanging cabinet on the left, second shelf.” He continued to scroll through all of the movies for another moment, “Love? How ‘bout The Three Musketeers?”

Unwrapping the package, Summer called back, “That’s fine.” She stuffed it in the microwave and started the timer, then fished a soda out of the fridge. “Should I get you a drink?”
