“I always start it,” she riposted, poking him again. Cheerfully, she kidnapped his Dr. Pepper and put it on the other side of the popcorn, hopefully out of Victor’s reach. Then she claimed more of the couch and munched popcorn at Victor.
Victor calmed down after a few moments then mock glared at Summer. His appearance almost boyish as he pouted before he grabbed the popcorn and pulled her down to lay in front of him on his couch, which was slightly wider than hers, giving them a little more room. He handed her back the popcorn and rested his arm across her side. “There, now we can share.” Victor just barely managed not to poke his tongue out at her.
“All right, all right,” she smiled. Grabbing a handful of popcorn, she tried to feed it to him over her shoulder, squirming a little against him. “Why do you always call me a minx?”
He pulled himself up to take her offering of popcorn and chewed. Victor smirked at her question. “Because you’re just as mischievous and just as much trouble as one,” he said, his tone affectionately teasing.
“Harmless and innocent!” she declared, eating popcorn herself. “And adorable. I’m a cat, meow, not a minx.”
