“Can’t tell you that.” She pulled his hair. “Who’s little?”

Victor pouted. “Pretty pwease?” He waggled his eyebrows then gave her puppy eyes. “And you are, compared to me at least, love.” He smiled.

Summer smacked his face. “No. Don’t do that. I need to keep this job, and I’m not taking risks that way. You want to be hired by SHIELD, you do that yourself.”

Victor blinked. “I was only kidding love. Although, that is a thought. Being hired by SHIELD as a consultant,” he said thoughtfully.

“Don’t joke about confidentiality. I don’t ask you about your employers, do I?” She raised an eyebrow. “Am I going to have to teach you a lesson, Victor?”

“Well there’s not much to them love.” Then Victor raised an eyebrow as he stared at her, the tone of her voice sending sparks through his spine in a rather unfamiliar way. There was surprise yet intense curiosity in his eyes and maybe even, and he couldn’t believe it, a little arousal. “And how would you go about doing that darling?”

“Might have to spank you,” she murmured, chewing on her lip, eyes hooded. Her tone was speculative. One hand found its way back into his hair, fisting and tugging. “A little pain, just to drive my point home.”
