“If you don’t distract me too much while I get ready, it’s fine,” she laughed. “What show?” Extricating herself from his arms with a kiss, she picked the flowers back up and headed for the kitchen, snagging a pair of scissors and putting them by the sink. A moment’s search yielded a crystal vase, and she set to work arranging the flowers.

He laughed, “I promise not to distract you too much Summer.” Victor took his jacket off and laid it across the couch, revealing his deep red dress shirt with gold accents and black tie then joined her in the kitchen. “Well, it’s a surprise love, but I hope you’ll enjoy it,” he said while he leaned against the door.

“Oo~ooh, surprises are good. I like surprises.” Summer filled the vase with water and tweaked off a few leaves, then sat it on the countertop and scooped the cut stems out of the sink. “So I should dress to match you, then? Maybe you should look through my closet and find me something while I shower.”

“Sure, I’d be more than happy to pick something out Summer.” He smiled a wide grin then once she was done throwing the stems away he swooped her up and darted to her room. Then, he was hit by a momentary wave of hesitation; he’d never gone through a woman’s wardrobe and picked out their clothes. Victor looked to Summer and gave her a sheepish smile. “You don’t mind me picking something?”

She threw her head back and laughed. “I doubt you could do any worse than me. Put me down, Victor darling.” She pointed to the lefthand side of the closet. “You can’t do wrong with anything in there. Just pick whatever you like.”

He  chuckled then put her down gently and strode over to her closet where he began carefully poking around in her closet. While he was looking a red dress with black accents caught his eye and he filed it away in his memory as he continued to look.

Summer left him to it, picking up her brush and stepping into the bathroom. Five minutes had her hair brushed out straight and wound into a bun, and then she peeked out to check on Victor. “Find anything, darling?”
