He chuckled into their kiss then leaned over her so that he could continue kissing her from a better angle. Victor’s lips wandered down and across the hollow of her neck, his fangs rasping against the delicate skin. He marked her neck. “I hope you don’t mind,” he murmured against her, “it’s something that I can’t help but do to you Summer.” His accent was thick as his arousal continued to grow.
“Can’t help,” she laughed, head tipped back. It tickled, the prickle of his fangs against her skin. Tickled, and the heat rose in her veins, wrapped in his arms. “I still don’t understand why you say that.”
Victor’s eyes twinkled as he looked up at her. “It’s literally like a compulsion, I feel the need to mark you dear.” One of his hands trailed up and down her side, slipping under her shirt and feeling her warm skin.
She freed one hand to fumble for the pendant he’d given her earlier. “So this heart is actually a collar?” Laughter lit her eyes.
He smiled in kind to the laughter in her eyes. “Well, now that’s not a bad thought at all my love.” Victor’s eyes darkened and he framed one side of her neck with his hand while his thumb caressed her jaw. “It’s really just a way for me to feel like I’ll be with you no matter where you are and if you need me, for whatever reason, I’ll come.” It was a kind of emotional statement, something Victor didn’t do very often and he followed it up with a gentle kiss on her lips.
“Like my bonding to you, except you chose to.” Her eyelids flickered, responding to his touch, as she rolled her head to the side, exposing even more of her throat. Tingles slid down her spine.
