“You had a childhood?” she teased, following along. “I thought you were just born fullgrown from robotics, like Athena from Zeus’ head.”
Tony snorts. “Barely had a childhood is more like it.” He leads the way to the cafe he had mentioned formerly, letting out a laugh at the comment following her first. “Is that what people think? Funny, I almost wish it was true sometimes.”
“Childhoods are overrated,” she says sagely. “You’re only as old as you want to be. If it makes you feel better, I didn’t exactly get a childhood either.”
