“Doctor McCoy? I think I’m supposed to report to you.” Wasn’t he supposed to be … well, grouchier? He didn’t seem grouchy to her.
“Report what darlin?” McCoy is prone to hiding his accent around people he doesn’t know, but she felt like an exception. He leans back against his desk with a small smile. “You can come into my office sugar~”
“My arrival on the ship, I think.” Summer steps inside, feeling like she’s starting to blush. Is he flirting with her? Or is this just familiar southern friendliness? It’s hard to tell, even with the empathy — which is a bit rude to just use on someone.
