Vex let out a choked sound, not sure how to really respond to Summer’s words. They weren’t close, barely knew each other, and who in their right bloody mind would trust somebody in that regard when they’d only just met? Snickering slightly, he purred the words, “Never woulda expected to ‘ear that from a pretty thing like you.”
Summer stepped right into his body, until bare millimeters separated them. “Sugar is sweet, but spice is more exciting.” She veiled her eyes. “I’m not sure you can handle me, actually. I might be too much for you — you think I’m so very innocent. Don’t you want to find out?”The Mesmer met her eyes and found himself unable to hold back a less-than-sane laugh at her words. The challenge was all it took to rev up the last bit of his impatient-personality; stepping forward a step, he closed the distance between them and found himself grabbing her by the collar of her shirt, glaring down into her eyes. His own seemed to burn with an odd kind of dominance that Vex usually didn’t feel. “Don’t test me, Summer,” he warned.
She shivered under his hand. Choking wasn’t normally her thing, but apparently there was going to be an exception in Vex’s case. “I want to test you,” she said, voice going a bit breathy, “I want to push you until you push back, until you force me into my place.”
