*looks up from the book he’s reading and smiles* Hey, Summer. What’s going on?
He sighed. I’ll try to let it go, but if this happens again to you or anybody else, I will have a word with Arthur about this. If we can’t trust knights to respect the people, how can we trust them to protect them? And please don’t stick your head in the horse trough. He smiled slightly as he got an idea to try and distract her. Let’s go for a walk.
“Maybe if I stick my head in a horse trough I’ll be less embarrassed about just talking to you about this at all,” she moaned, but went over to him anyway, drooping onto his shoulder. “Okay, we can take a walk.”
He wrapped his arm around her and smiled slightly. Come on. We can walk in the woods a bit. It should be nice out there right now.
Summer let Merlin lead her out of his room and into the little patch of forest. “Honestly,” she sighed, “sometimes I wonder why I don’t just go back home and become a dried up old maid.”
